FAQ
When can I expect to see my photos?
My turnaround time is 3 weeks, but I do try my best to get something to you way sooner than that. My kids manage my schedule half the time, so please bare with me! 😅
How many photos will we receive?
When I deliver galleries, they usually have between 50-100 photos. ✨
Do you provide any props?
I like to utilize our islandʻs natural landscapes as much as possible, but if you have anything sentimental that youʻd like to include, or if your kiddos have a favorite toy, definitely bring it! I am super flexible.
We also have so many awesome local vendors that I would absolutely love to support so whatever you have in mind, please let me know! Whether it may be a haku, blanket, bench, you name it! We can try and make it happen.
What can I expect from our session?
You’ll definitely get at least a couple photos of you smiling at the camera so you can mount it on your wall &/or post it on social media. But my main focus thru-out the entire session, is to draw out the connection you have with each other and create candid moments. I will help out with prompts & give you direction.
For families with young ones, I like to let them kinda run the show.. Let them explore & play. Use this time to really just slow down, be with each other & have fun.
Keep in mind, If you are looking for vibrant sunset photos taken with flash, I’m probably not the photog you’re looking for. I like to work with natural light. Every session I capture is unique, depending on the time of day, weather, personalities/connection, etc. If you have a specific vision or style in mind, please share any ideas you have.
What happens if it rains?
Maui has so many microclimates. We can re-locate to another location nearby, and the weather can be completely different. But if the whole island is storming, we can definitely reschedule to another date.
Otherwise, I am always down to shoot in any weather!
Can I post my photos on social media?
YES!!! Definitely! These are your photos. As long as you promise not to crop or edit them in any way, please post away. & tag me too! 😉
How do we pay for our session?
I require 50% deposit & a signed contract to hold your session date. The remainder is due on the day of. But you are welcome to pay it in full at the time of booking if youʻd like. Once you decide you want to book with me, I will send you a proposal, with a tentative contract & an invoice where you can pay with any major credit card.
What do we wear?
Please do wear something that makes you feel amazing! & of course comfortable moving around in. I love when my peeps wear jewelry, flowers, hakus, any type of accessories/details add nice touches to your photos. Try not to be too matchy-matchy & rather coordinate a few colors together. My favorite color palettes are earthy tones, pastels & neutrals.
You can use this as an excuse to get pampered & go shopping! Schedule that haircut and manicure! 😆 But really, I want you to feel your greatest. The better you feel, itʻll show in your photos. 🤗
*Tip* If your session is on the beach, ditch the shoes! You wonʻt need um. Just bring slippers to walk to & from the car.
Also, if you want to get in the water for some photos, I am so down to get those shots. Please let me know so I can save some time at the end of our session. Pack a towel & extra clothes in case.
